New Features in version 6.0: Increased Functionality of LicenseOptimizer Module, New User Interface with Message Central, and Improved Configuration to Simplify Management of IT Resources. Major improvements and new functionality for the new Base Enterprise Edition.

Highlights: 

LicenseOptimizer has single daemon /service on all platforms.

New User Interface/Message Central

Multiple messages will be handled by a single GUI application instead of multiple pop-ups.
Message can come from any optimizer host.
User can start multiple GUI applications that will all receive the same message.
Includes message field that contains more information about handles like:
Listing licenses to be removed during countdown......
Listing licenses that were removed or failing to remove after suspend. 

Improved Configuration

 Allowing wild cards in matches and providing reasonable defaults...
Introducing multiple thresholds for suspensions (termination after a final threshold).
Allowing separate configuration for each application/handle.
Communication between optimizer and User Interface is configurable. (Enabling message texts etc....Interaction can be modified.)

LicenseAnalyzer has a new auto-collector for FlexNet license servers

Automatically configures and maintains collection of license data for FlexNet license servers when the Open iT LA client is installed on one (or more)
of the actual license servers.

Reporting Server

Missing functionality from the old portal has been integrated into the new web GUI. 

Security

Role-based access control for administration pages through active directory authentification.
